MotionMall is owned and operated by HedgeCity Corporation, a company that develops and operates innovative web-based technologies. MotionMall is one of several HedgeCity initiatives, each of which strives toward achieving an effective interaction with users through an engaging and memorable user experience. MotionMall was founded by Ryan Gorer, an entrepreneur and web technology specialist who focuses on building applications that process and present information in creative ways. Ryan's entrepreneurial career began in 1999 when he co-founded MarketSwap.com, a marketplace for the exchange of stock market investment advice. Since the year 2000, Ryan has been working as a freelance expert focusing on the design and articulation of applications with characteristically elegant and efficient user interfaces. His particular area of expertise has mostly resided in the financial services industry, but his most recent area of interest has been in the affiliate marketing arena. After witnessing the increasingly business-relevant capabilities of Macromedia Flash technology late in 2004, Ryan experienced a self-described "moment of clarity" and dove deeply into learning Flash's capabilities. The result of his initial experimentation with the Flash medium was the creation of several artistic visual expressions which are showcased on the clarity café website. With a hands-on understanding of Flash's robust capabilities, Ryan began building a simple visualization of products from the Amazon online store that featured smooth graphical movements. A second "moment of clarity" arrived when it became clear that overlaying this simple visualization with a compelling affiliate marketing business model would produce a marketable product with business viability. Several months of intense work followed in this direction, which culminated in December 2005 with the launch of MotionMall, a unique revenue-generating advertising service for websites and blogs. |
